Settler scholar surveys for common ground between parents, public school district leaders

Beginning on March 15, 2023, parents, guardians, and caregivers will have the opportunity to participate in an independent research project which aims to improve communication between parents, guardians, and caregivers, the school Board of Trustees, and the district and individual school officials from Sooke Schools District 62 (SD62) in British Columbia, Canada.

This survey seeks to uncover not just what the school district has been able to achieve during the 2021-2022 school year to further their strategic plan goals towards increasing student learning about inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility (aka IDEA), but may also lead to improved decision-making and consensus-building opportunities for all the partner and stakeholder groups within the SD62 community.

Details about the Survey and the research project as a whole can be viewed in the video below or on this page.
